Using Goodsearch to Support California Rainbow for Girls Foundation

At Rainbow U, one of the things we learned in the adult seminars was how much money the California Rainbow for Girls Foundation has raised just by using Goodsearch. As more and more people are using Goodsearch and designating CRFGF as the charity they’re searching for, it’s starting to add up. As Rainbow Girls and supporters of Rainbow, I hope you and your families will all partiicipate. Getting started is easy and only takes a minute or two.

Step by step:

1. Go to http://www.goodsearch.com. There is a form space that asks, “Who do you Goodsearch for?” Quietly repeat to yourself, “Whom do you Goodsearch for?” and learn from their egregious grammar mistake.

2. Type in that box “California Rainbow” and click “verify.” Only one charity will come up in the box. You don’t have to do anything else.

3. Next time you’re thinking of going to Google or Yahoo, try Goodsearch instead. Their search results are every bit as good and in some cases better than other search engines’ results.

4. If you like to use the “search” box in your browser, it is also possible to point that search box to use Goodsearch by default every time.

Here is a step-by-step video describing how to change your default search engine in Internet Explorer 7. The steps are substantially similar to most browsers. If you use another browser, refer to that browser’s website for assistance.

5. If changing your browser’s default search engine looks too complicated, another option for quick and easy Goodsearching is installing the Goodsearch toolbar. The toolbar can be downloaded here.
